  • Love it!!!!!  Seriously.........what program do you use and what is the technique called?  I have Photoshop Elements 6.........can I do something this fancy with that????????  HELP!!!!!  I want to steal some of your talent!!!!!!  :)

  • Very nice.  It feels instantly old and emotive.  :o )

  • @taracotta7 - I have Elements 5 that I do all of my editing with until I can afford the CS3. =D I picked up a tip from ialsolovechocolate and found some free images on Flickr of old walls and distressed rock and then layered one of them with the photo above after I messed with the colors and made the photo blurry with the Gaussian Blur tool. I then lowered the distressed image's opacity to about 50%. I then used the Rectangular Marquee Tool with Feather set at 250px and cut out the middle of the that layer and made a new layer with it. I then dropped the opacity some more on just the middle so my picture was a little more visible. I did a few other minor tweeks but I think you get the idea. I don't know maybe not... Hope you could follow that! lol! Maybe we can sit with the laptop and I can show you more when you are here in KC.

Speeking of, that week sounds great! Call me to set up the details when you are ready... Can't wait!!

  • Ok you lost me!!  I only have the very old version 2 (I guess it came with my old camera or something).  I don't think I can upload actions into it, so I just play around with tools that I have.  Haven't gotten anything like this yet....BTW  I love all of the baby pictures lately.  So cute!!

  • @allilaney - If you can, invest in the Adobe Photoshop Elements. You can download a full version trial at Adobe.com or you can buy it from Amazon with Free Shipping for $56 (after the mail-in rebate). I absolutely love this program. I should post more before and after pics so you can see what I'm doing with it. (Humm... I think I'll do that now with the above photo...) Stay tuned!
